Shopify theme development and customization

How to tell a real Shopify expert from a theme installer
Ask for live stores they built, not mockups. Ask how many apps the store will need (fewer is better). Ask what happens to speed after launch. And ask who will edit the store day to day. If the answer is "the developer", keep looking. More in How to Hire a Shopify Expert.

Can you customize my current theme instead of starting over?
- Usually yes, and it's often the cheaper choice. I review the theme first and tell you honestly if a rebuild is better.
Do you build custom Shopify themes?
- Yes, on Online Store 2.0, with every section and block editable in the theme editor.
Can you make my store faster?
- Yes. Most slow stores carry too many apps and heavy images. I remove what isn't earning its place and test on PageSpeed Insights before and after.
Do you work with Shopify Plus stores?
- Yes, including checkout extensibility and Plus-only features.
How much does a Shopify developer cost?
- Store builds and theme work are fixed-price after a call. Theme customizations start from $150, a full store build from $600.
